The Program

Historical perspectives can shift across time and from one person to the next, and interpreting artifacts from the past is an ongoing endeavor. The process can take us out of our “comfort zone,” but if firmly rooted in inclusivity and empathy, enriches us all.

Explore the challenges and advantages of a collaborative reckoning of history at this year’s Keechong Dinner. The Forbes House Museum Trustees are delighted to bring together caretakers of different historical viewpoints to participate in a moderated panel discussion,
“Whose History Is It? And why it matters today more than ever!”

Panelists:
Fran Colletti, Facing History and Ourselves
L’Merchie Frazier, Museum of African American History
Jeffrey Gonyeau, Preservation Consultant

Moderator:
Vivian Wu Wong, Milton Academy
