On the National Register of Historic Places since 1966, the Forbes House Museum plays an important role in the interpretation of 19th-century life in Milton and Boston. It is a living legacy for the American China trade and entrepreneurialism, the Civil War, President Lincoln and abolitionism, Irish immigration (Irish domestic workers) and humanitarian relief to Ireland during the Great Famine, Governor Hutchinson and his 18th-century country estate, and local Milton history.
There’s a lot going on at the Museum today. Won’t you join us? Give to the Forbes House Museum Fund and support the effort to develop enriching experiences in history and learning.
If you have contributed to the Museum in the past, thank you for your support. If you are considering a first-time contribution, keep in mind that donors of $100 or more automatically become members of the Friends of Forbes House Museum.
